Book Blogger Hop #3

Book Blogger Hop

Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Billy at Coffee Addicted Writer. In this weekly meme, a question will be posted every Fridays for the book bloggers to answer and then talk about with other bloggers.

This week's question is submitted by Brenda!

What is your favorite part about reading a book? Figuring out the plot ahead of time, the feeling of the actual book itself, experiencing the plot unfold, getting to know the characters- or something else entirely?

Everything! I just love the whole experience- from getting to know the characters, feeling their emotions, experiencing their world to learning from their circumstances, and yes, even the heart break I experience in some books. Reading is a great experience and I love it! :)

Wishlist Wednesday #10

Hi folks!

Wishlist Wednesday is a weekly book blog hop hosted by Pen to Paper, where we will post that one book we can't wait to get off our ever growing wishlist and onto our shelves!

Okay, first of all, I'm sorry for being a bad blogger. =/ I'm currently reviewing for my board exam, thus my being inactive. But don't worry, I'll be back very soon with reviews and memes. :)

'Til then folks, I'll try my best to post short memes, like this one. Okay? :)

Title: The Young Elites (The Young Elites #1)
Author: Marie Lu
Published: October 7th 2014 by G.P. Putnam’s Sons Books for Young Readers

2014-07-25 21.24.30

I am tired of being used, hurt, and cast aside.

Adelina Amouteru is a survivor of the blood fever. A decade ago, the deadly illness swept through her nation. Most of the infected perished, while many of the children who survived were left with strange markings. Adelina’s black hair turned silver, her lashes went pale, and now she has only a jagged scar where her left eye once was. Her cruel father believes she is a malfetto, an abomination, ruining their family’s good name and standing in the way of their fortune. But some of the fever’s survivors are rumored to possess more than just scars—they are believed to have mysterious and powerful gifts, and though their identities remain secret, they have come to be called the Young Elites.

Teren Santoro works for the king. As Leader of the Inquisition Axis, it is his job to seek out the Young Elites, to destroy them before they destroy the nation. He believes the Young Elites to be dangerous and vengeful, but it’s Teren who may possess the darkest secret of all.

Enzo Valenciano is a member of the Dagger Society. This secret sect of Young Elites seeks out others like them before the Inquisition Axis can. But when the Daggers find Adelina, they discover someone with powers like they’ve never seen.

Adelina wants to believe Enzo is on her side, and that Teren is the true enemy. But the lives of these three will collide in unexpected ways, as each fights a very different and personal battle. But of one thing they are all certain: Adelina has abilities that shouldn’t belong in this world. A vengeful blackness in her heart. And a desire to destroy all who dare to cross her.

It is my turn to use. My turn to hurt.

Since its release last October, I've been hearing nothing but good reviews about The Young Elites all over Tumblr and Booktube! I've only read Legend but I really can't wait to read TYE! (And of course, I'm excited to finish the Legend trilogy too! Haha!)

Last November 25-26, Marie Lu visited the Philippines for a book signing event. I wasn't able to attend because I had class (review center). That was just so sad, I know. =( I hope she'll visit again soon!

Anyway, that's all folks!
What's your wishlist?
